Thanks to everyone who made this weekend’s events a huge success! Saturday at King street, we had an all-day Fender sale, microphone sale, a Voice Clinic and performances from 5 bands! Talk about craziness!
It all ran smoothly and we’re glad everyone had a good time and could save money on gear they wanted.

So I’ve begun making ads for the stores tv’s. For now I’m just practicing with the one down @ King. I just bought Adobe Creative Suite CS4 and have been working away ever since. It’s pretty entertaining coming up with new ideas for each ad and trying to make it different then the last, so there’s no repetition. I even got our commercial running in the lineup. Come down to King St. and check it out! I’m pretty stoked about it. It should be starting out in Pearl City as soon as I figure out a effiecient way of doing it without having to keep burning DVD’s every week :/

UPDATE – After a successful install, my major programs continued to work: Cubase 5, Sibelius 6, Final Cut Express 4. Presonus is offering a Beta driver for Firestudio and StudioLive. Sibelius issued an upgrade to 6.03 for Mac users only. Cubase 5 works, but is very sluggish (VU Meters, etc.) The main things that didn’t work for me were Safari and Mail plugins (Glims, WideMail, GrowlMail, etc.).
The new OS from Apple is coming out tomorrow: Snow Leopard OS X 10.6. I’m pretty excited and can’t wait to upgrade. There’s a lot of under-the-hood changes made in this version – 64 bit processing for core applications, improved iChat video resolution with lower bandwidth usage, Finder and Exposé improvements, just to name a few.
But if you use any audio or video software or hardware, you may want to wait a bit before upgrading. Apple has compiled a list of software that currently isn’t working with 10.6, and end-users are also compiling their own list.

Hi, I’m Chris, the General Manager of Easy Music Center and webmaster of EasyMusicCenter.com. I wanted to start posting my thoughts as I update and try to improve our website. I don’t have any formal training in HTML and site building, but I can Google for anything and usually get my answer!
Our previous website was built on Joomla 1.5, a popular CMS (Content Management System). It was useful, but I found it to be a bit limiting and hard to utilize. Just changing the font size was a difficult task! Although, struggling with that system forced me to learn a bit about HTML and CSS coding.

Easy Music Center says farewell to Brandon Sato. He has been a member of the Easy Music family for over three years now and is deciding to further pursue a career of rock stardom on the mainland. We will miss him dearly and wish him luck with all of his future endeavors. Who knows, he may become a huge rock star and do a clinic for us showcasing his new signature series Ibanez guitar someday.
