Looking for a place to grab a bite and listen to some great music, but are tierd of the same ol’ crowded places?

Then check out the Ground Floor bar on 727 Richards street downtown and off the beaten path.

Drinks and pupu’s without all the hoity-toity.  You never know who might be there and you just might end up sitting in and playing a few tunes.

Hey folks,

I recently took a trip to sunny L.A. to visit Roland USA headquarters located in Commerce, California.

It was basically a training trip to learn more about the company, its history, and its products.

But the biggest surprise was its customer service department. I got to see first-hand how it works and how truly amazing it is.

Hey!  I was on the morning news.  I was a little nervous and didn’t want to say anything too dumb so I’m speaking pretty slowly here.  Thank goodness Shara was so nice and easy to talk to.

I found this on TUAW, The Unofficial Apple Weblog:
http://www.tuaw.com/2010/07/23/found-footage-ipad-app-turns-sheet-music-pages-with-the-tap-of/

I’ve always wondered how they would get a handsfree system for turning pages. There are a few sheet music apps for the iPad out right now. My favorite is the unrealBook, by Aron Nelson. But this is something that would help out tremendously.

Tasty Asian Style Taco Eatery – Taste!

Local style tacos taste mean! Ribeye with Kalbi marinade and wasabi dressing, Char Siu with Shoyu Aioli and Ginger dressing, and some other tasty delights! This place tastes super good! It is on Beretania before you hit McCully St. in the Ocean Sports bar parking lot. It is open Monday thru Friday for lunch hours. I tried the Kalbi (more like Bulgogi) and the shrimp. So ONOLICIOUS!!!! Get there on the early side. He ran out due to high demand today. Best taco I ever had!

I thought this was hilarious! Jewel disguised herself at a Karaoke bar, sang her own songs and blew people away.

Oh, and it’s KA-RA-O-KE, not CARRY-OH-KEE hahaha.

Jake Shimabukuro stopped by today

Jake is such a nice and humble guy.  I am always thrilled to see him come by the store.  He picked up a Genz Benz Shuttle 10″ to fill out the low end for his acoustic amp when playing his Ukulele.  I think he was stoked on the sound and how light the unit was.  I’m glad we had what he needed!  Chee!

He dropped off a bunch of copies of his new Single “Go For Broke”  – The song is dedicated to the Nisei WWII soldiers – the most decorated group in military history.  You can download it at his website (http://www.jakeshimabukuro.com/?t=goforbroke) for free.

Jake!  You making Allen and me (maybe just me) look fat man!
