Dig the sound of 50′s and 60′s Fender amps but your time machine project is a little behind schedule? Fret not, for Boss has your flux-capcitor. Meet the FBM-01. Recreating the “natural, fat, rich and bright” tone of the original like only the stomp pros at Boss can. Don’t take my word (or questionable playing) for it, come try one out for yourself today at Easy Music Center.
Hey guys! Justin here, from Easy Music Center. I recently got to spend some time with the BC-2 Combo Drive from Boss. This is a useful pedal if you are looking for a smooth overdrive (if you’re in the market for a high gain pedal, this may not be for you…I would suggest perhaps a MT-2, or maybe even a MXR Fullbore Metal for something with some serious dirt). What I enjoyed about this pedal is how responsive it is to your picking hand…The more you dig in, the more you can hear the pedal push out some smooth lightly over driven sounds. That being said, with the gain cranked you start to hear some saturated “British” style tones that many have grown to love. All that in the standard size and super rugged Boss style pedal housing with a 5 year warranty…Check it out!
The Roland AC-90 is for all the solo musicians that need or want a small and fast set up! This amp has 90 watts of stereo awesomeness and two channels that can fill a room with epic talent. Some extra features that makes this amp stand out is the chorus wide band effect, anti-feedback suppression, delay and reverb effects, and the possibility of lining out to a PA system from behind the unit. Check out this video I put together. There are a couple examples with different instruments ,and I show the back and top panels. Check it out!

Finally the new BOSS GT-100 is here at Easy Music Center! For those of you fans actively following our posts you maybe have remembered us doing a feature segment on the BOSS GT-100 shortly after we returned from the NAMM show. We were fortunate enough to get the one and only Robert Marcello down here to hawaii to show us some of the many features this new flagship pedal has to offer.
For those of you that missed the original post on the GT-100 you can find more in depth information on it by CLICKING HERE.
For those of you that want to hear this bad boy in action, check out the video below! Or, come on down to Easy Music Center and try one out yourself!
If you already own amplifiers or pedals by Roland/Boss, the FS-6 Dual Footswitch by Boss should be high on your wish list! The list of Roland/Boss devices, that are expandable with this footswitch, is immense. Just about all amps from the Roland Cube series all accept this footswitch for special switching functions. And so do the acoustic amp series that includes AC-33, AC-60 and the AC-90.
In the video below, I demonstrate how the FS-6 lets you switch and control various presets and/or parameters on several amps and pedals like the Loop Stations RC-3, RC-30 and RC-300. This footswitch might just be your missing link to the option of hands-free music making!
Robert Marcelo toasting the new GT-100 at NAMM after an AWESOME demo!
The NAMM show was needless to say one of the best experiences I have had both as a musician and as a salesperson at Easy Music Center. My eyes feasted upon the plethora of new and exciting gear from a full drum set played with nothing but your feet, to a brand new line of “intelligent” PA gear by Line 6. Though I digress, as a guitar player, one of the most exciting was the release of the new GT-100 by BOSS.
BOSS has done it again! (No surprise for those of us who live and love BOSS). The new GT-100 has a new sleek design, the most striking of which is the unique dual LCD screens. This new feature, along with the 8 easy grab knobs, makes it easy to tweak your sound on the fly. There are no menus and everything is easy to access and ready to go. Boss also remodeled the entire amps and effects section; they sound better than ever! Thanks to a new DSP engine, your COSM tones will soar higher than ever before. But, it wouldn’t be complete without a new set of vintage sounding amps from high-gain models to smooth and clean. The most impressive part of this new flagship has to be the new Accel pedal, allowing control of multiple parameters at once.
All in all, this is a MUST SEE pedal! I was blown away by Robert Marcelo at the NAMM show and his flawless execution of all it’s features as he proceeded to melt my face off. Be on the lookout for it here at Easy Music Center! I wish my video didn’t come out distorted…Robert was killing it as always!
Loopers … More and more people are getting into them….Here are some of our best sellers from Boss, Digitech, and Line 6.
In this video I will show you one of the many possibilities of adding a looper to your set up. I am using a stereo amp and an A+B switcher with a BOSS looper and FX unit to sample a few patches and blend them together while also having the ability to pan them left and right . This is a great way to step out of the box and a great starting point for creating your own looper set up.
Changing the recording pattern on the BOSS RC-30 couldn’t be any easier. By watching the YouTube video below or following the few simple directions, you can change the recording pattern from RECORD/OVERDUB/PLAY to RECORD/PLAY/OVERDUB.
