Kamoa Ukulele is for all those virtuosos that are looking for a full sound at an affordable price. Kamoa’s quality is well above average. They have many finishes. If you like the sound of full Jazz chords on an ukulele, this is the one for you. This ukulele will give you a wider range of tones compared to a traditionally tuned ukulele. For those of you who do not know what the baritone tuning is, revert to the following: First string is “E”, second is “B”, third is “G”, and the fourth is “D”. Traditional ukulele are tuned a fourth higher. This video shows off the wood they are made of, the tuning of the ukulele, and a little song that I made up so you can hear what it sounds like.

Hey folks, the Kala U-Bass sure has been getting a lot of attention lately. Whether you came in and sampled one in the store, saw our bass instructor and Kala endorse Steve jones playing one onstage or were just looking for a little more info on this very cool bass. There has definitely has been a lot of buzz, and not the bad kine where you gotta go see Cedric. In this video clip, we’ll see Kala founder and owner Mike Upton showing you the correct way to restring your Kala U-Bass.

A customer of ours has posted a story about how he bought a Kala U-Bass from us. He posted it on the Talk Bass forums. Here’s an excerpt of what he had to say and some pictures.
It played great, and sounded fantastic, with a real woody, organic tone that evoked an upright more than anything else. It took a little getting used to the sticky strings and the short scale, but it was an absolute gas to play, I had a huge smile on my face the whole time and within 10 to 15 minutes almost every one of the music store staff and more than a few of the customers, each and every one with the same big smile, had passed by to look at it and comment on how great it sounded and how cool it looked, with all that fat bassiness flowing out of what is after all and for all intents purposes and appearances AN UKULELE!!!!
