I found this on TUAW, The Unofficial Apple Weblog:
http://www.tuaw.com/2010/07/23/found-footage-ipad-app-turns-sheet-music-pages-with-the-tap-of/
I’ve always wondered how they would get a handsfree system for turning pages. There are a few sheet music apps for the iPad out right now. My favorite is the unrealBook, by Aron Nelson. But this is something that would help out tremendously.

I thought this was hilarious! Jewel disguised herself at a Karaoke bar, sang her own songs and blew people away.
Oh, and it’s KA-RA-O-KE, not CARRY-OH-KEE hahaha.

A customer of ours has posted a story about how he bought a Kala U-Bass from us. He posted it on the Talk Bass forums. Here’s an excerpt of what he had to say and some pictures.
It played great, and sounded fantastic, with a real woody, organic tone that evoked an upright more than anything else. It took a little getting used to the sticky strings and the short scale, but it was an absolute gas to play, I had a huge smile on my face the whole time and within 10 to 15 minutes almost every one of the music store staff and more than a few of the customers, each and every one with the same big smile, had passed by to look at it and comment on how great it sounded and how cool it looked, with all that fat bassiness flowing out of what is after all and for all intents purposes and appearances AN UKULELE!!!!

This video has been floating around the net a while, but recently got very popular.
What do you think about this drummer’s crazy moves? Is he exploring the space or stealing the show?

Avid Technology, the parent company for such brands as Digidesign, M-Audio and Sibelius, has announced that the brand names will soon be going away. Everything will be rebranded as Avid. Digidesign will be the first to go, with M-Audio and Sibelius following suit soon after.
Avid Technology sent a letter to all Pro Tools users in April explaining this, as well as moving the Digidesign.com information to the main Avid website. They assure, however, that the same staff, products and quality will remain in tact.
To find out more, check out this article from createdigitalmusic.com.

From what I could gather, this guy is 3 years old. The rhythm and command of what he’s doing is AMAZING for such a young age. Around 2:34 he drops a stick and his reaction is hilarious! Music is definitely ageless and awesome.

Thanks to Mashable.com, we can now see what our website would have looked like if I built it using old HTML and hosted on Geocities! Remember the web back in the 90s? Lots of GIFs floating around your screen, gawdy colors, MIDI music and basic text? The web sure has come a long way since then, huh?
Check out our website as a 90s version here http://wonder-tonic.com/geocitiesizer/content.php?theme=2&music=2&url=www.easymusiccenter.com
I got it to play the song “Blue (Dabu dee dabu dai)” !!!
If you want to put your favorite website into this “time machine” just put the url into the box at this webpage: http://wonder-tonic.com/geocitiesizer/ The music and theme should change every time you submit a different link.
Have fun reminiscing!
