Gigs in Hawaii are limited.  Venues are getting more selective about the types of acts that they allow due to financial constraints.  Larger piece bands, find it increasingly hard to get regular paying gigs due to these constraints.  While still a part of First Verse (a four piece band), Allen realizes that with less gigs available, doing solo acts is a necessity to keep a steady income.

Allen will be covering the basics of what makes him successful at performing solo.  If you want to find out how to get the gig, you should not miss this clinic!

Microphone shoot out – We will shootout the SM58LC, the AKG D5, the Sennheiser E835, and the Audix OM2 against our new proprietary Audio Technica mic.  These other mics sell for about $99 on the internet.  You will be shocked at the introductory prices on the Audio Technica mic that we demo.  We will leave it up to your ears to tell which mic sounds the best.

Allen will also be covering the products that he uses to make a solo gig a hit.  He will be introducing a microphone by Audio Technica that is an exclusive mic in Hawaii to Easy Music Center only.  We will be having a special “clinic only” price for those mics that day.

He will also reveal what every musician should have in his survival kit…things you should not leave home without.

Allen Ubaldo is our acoustic guitar and ukulele specialist (www.myspace.com/allenubaldomusic).  He gigs regularly, doing mostly solos and duos at various venues such as Jimmy Buffets, Formaggio’s, Amuse Wine Bar, The Shack Waikiki, and the Mai Tai Bar.
