Ibanez S1XXV 25th Anniversary Relive all of your 80′s glory

Posted By on April 22, 2012

Dust off those old acid wash jeans,  jean jacket (canadian tuxedo baby!) and your headbanger approved back patch and buttons because this month we’re checking out the new 25th anniversary  Ibanez S1XXV in 80′s approved fluorescent yellow ( also available in florescent green). When I was a little mullet headed lad, I wanted this guitar so bad…it was a shredder guitar, was florescent yellow, and just screams COCKROCK! What more could a kid want? Who didn’t think florescent yellow was  cool in the 80′s?  Back then it was called a saber because of how thin it was.  There was nothing like it on the market, and it ripped.  Aside from the new tremolo system, it is just as cool as I had remembered . Come by and check one out today.

Ibanez unveils an S Series in brilliant fluorescents.

Famous for its lightweight carved mahogany body, the S series can take a beating while still providing the resonance of guitars twice its size. It also comes equipped with the double-locking ZR tremolo and Zero Point System, a smooth ball bearing tremolo that makes every subtle nuance of whammy bar use come alive. The S series’ sleek, comfortable mahogany bodies, thin & fast Wizard III necks, and high-gain IBZ INF pickup combos make these instruments impossible to beat in any genre of music. And now it’s available in outrageous finishes sure to make a statement at any venue.

Features

  • Mahogany body
  • 3 Piece maple Wizard III neck, rosewood fretboard, 24 jumbo frets
  • INF1 neck pickup
  • INFS1 middle pickup
  • INF2 bridge pickup
  • ZR bridge with ZPS2

How my Floyd Rose made me $20.00.

I remember years back I was hanging out with a friend and he said,  ” I bet you $20.00 that you can’t play a song on one single string without using any frets”. Little did he know I had a guitar equipped with a Floyd Rose double locking tremolo, without that I wouldn’t have been able to prove him wrong and win his $20.00.  Here is my single string no fret rendition of a Christmas classic that made me $20.00 richer.
