I just installed the new EMG 81x series pickup and the Afterburner boost knob with the 18 volt mod, and I’m really digging it. It has so much definition and headroom no matter how much gain I dial in, and the clean tone is definately a lot better than the regular 81 series pickup. It’s solder less too. Check it out!

Posted By Peter on July 28, 2010

Hey!  I was on the morning news.  I was a little nervous and didn’t want to say anything too dumb so I’m speaking pretty slowly here.  Thank goodness Shara was so nice and easy to talk to.

Matisyahu

Matisyahu was sick! I got to see him at the roadrunner concert hall. There were only 30 people there. It was intimate. You could skank in front of the stage (one guy did) a foot away from him. He was funny and a great performer to boot. One of the best shows and live venues I have ever been to. Make sure you come down to EMC this Saturday for your chance to do the same for Real Big Fish and Shinedown. There is nothing like seeing someone up close and personal like that!

Making beats is what got me started on running a musical instrument store.

It has frustrated me that the very thing that got me into this (making beats) is something I just don’t do anymore.  I was feeling pretty bored and tired of making beats until this new toy by Korg came along.  I am too busy and lazy to make beats, but this thing solves that problem.  You can chop up samples and sequence a song before you could even turn your computer and get a DAW up and running or load a sound set from an Akai MPC.

Hello! Welcome to the new EasyMusicCenter.com

Posted By Chris on August 25, 2009

Hi, I’m Chris, the General Manager of Easy Music Center and webmaster of EasyMusicCenter.com.  I wanted to start posting my thoughts as I update and try to improve our website.  I don’t have any formal training in HTML and site building, but I can Google for anything and usually get my answer!

Our previous website was built on Joomla 1.5, a popular CMS (Content Management System). It was useful, but I found it to be a bit limiting and hard to utilize.  Just changing the font size was a difficult task! Although, struggling with that system forced me to learn a bit about HTML and CSS coding.
