Easy Music Center Guitar and Ukulele Recital featuring students of and a guitar and ukulele performance by Landon Mattox, Thursday, May 17th @ 5:00 at our King St store.
Students under 10 will be performing themes from video games and movies, teenage students will be performing recent pop songs and adults will of course be performing classics. If you like the sound of full Jazz chords on an ukulele, this is the one for you.  This ukulele will give you a wider range of tones compared to a traditionally tuned ukulele.  For those of you who do not know what the baritone tuning is, revert to the following:  First string is “E”, second is “B”, third is “G”, and the fourth is “D”.  Traditional ukulele are tuned a fourth higher.  This video shows off the wood they are made of, the tuning of the ukulele, and a little song that I made up so you can hear what it sounds like.

The Martin S1 Ukulele : Classic Martin Sound

We now  carry Martin Ukuleles!  This particular one that I am playing in the video is the S1. This soprano is made with real mahogany, has 17 frets ( most sopranos only have 12), and has a nice  tone.  It reminds me of my Great-Grandfather’s old Martin which is the real deal!
