Testing the THR10′s recording possibilities has been great fun. It’s so easy to dial in a certain tone for a project. Using this desktop amplifier as the sound generator for both the guitar sound as well as the source music, you will have all the editing options in post-processing because you are given left & right dry signals along with the affected, dialed-in sound.
I demonstrate this in the video below. I keep switching to my DAW’s sound, using captions to indicate when you hear the THR10′s dialed-in sound and when switching to a re-amped signal that sports the DAW’s visual guitar amp.
All in all, the THR10 makes guitar recording very comfortable and it provides a high-quality, dry signal. And this goes also for bass direct in as well as acoustic guitar direct in. On the latter, the THR10′s gain knob becomes the ‘mic modeling’ knob – with amazing results.
The Yamaha THR10X 10 watt, battery powered amp is for guitarists that want portable, high-gain sounds. The THR 10X will give musicians the ability to dial in a variety of amp sounds focusing on the high gain sounds that rockers and metal heads strive for in their gear. This version of the THR series, of course, still offers all the same features like USB connectivity, aux in, head-phone out, and Cubase software so you can do direct recording. Come on down to your nearest Easy Music Center and try out these great sounding amps!
Hey guys! Are you ready for the next generation in portable sound reinforcement? Well look no further than Yamaha’s StagePas 400i and 600i. Both systems are now available at Easy Music Center.
Yamaha has stepped up their game by making these systems iPod, iPhone, and iPad capable with a charging port that also functions as an audio in! They have also beefed up the wattage over the previous models by 100 watts.
There are so many new features that you just have to come down and check it out..and more importantly hear it for yourself! Below is a video describing some of the newer features of these killer sound systems. Enjoy!
Yamaha’s new MX series keyboards combine great sounds with portability, containing over 1000 sounds directly from the Motif XS series in a portable package. Yamaha packed this keyboard with a ton of great features including 128 note polyphony, one-touch split and layer, and audio/MIDI over USB. The 49 key version (4 octaves) is especially convenient for smaller studios and as a powerful second tier for your gigging setups! Check out the video below to hear a few of the sounds and come down to Easy Music Center to try it out!
Yamaha’s new ARIUS model keyboard includes the new PureCF sampling recorded on Yamaha’s acclaimed CFIIIS 9′ concert grand piano. Fully weighted with 88 keys, the YDP-142 comes as a full furniture style set with stand, pedals, and bench included. It has a collapsible music rest to hold your sheet music and a built in key-bed cover to protect the keyboard when not in use. With it’s newly upgraded piano sound the Yamaha ARIUS YDP-142 is the perfect complete keyboard for your home or studio. Check out the video below to hear the great piano sample.
Easy Music Center is now a YAMAHA ELECTRONIC DRUM KITS dealer. Traveling to WNAMM 2013, the Easy Music Center staff had a chance to test these new kits first hand, and we were very impressed. Each electronic kit included realistic sounds and a comfortable feel that will suit the needs of any professional drummer all the way to the beginning drummer looking for an upgrade from their kitchen pots and pans. The sound and feel of these drums will make you feel like you’re playing an acoustic drum set.
Another mind blowing act from the Muriel Anderson All Star Guitar Night. Phil X tore the roof of the place with his insane version of Jimi Hendrix’s “Fire”. Listen for all the Iconic guitar solos he goes through with ease. I was floored by the level of talent he possesses and the level of stage presence. Thank you Easy Music Center and Yamaha for the good times at the 2013 NAMM show! – Rob West
At the 2013 NAMM trade show Yamaha provided two VIP tickets to Easy Music Center for Muriel Anderson’s All Star Guitar Night. Toots Hibbert was one of the performers and was simply awesome! Thank you to Yamaha and Easy Music Center – Rob West
The ever so talented Gil Parris playing the always epic “Little Wing”. He has a very cool approach to the song similar to SRV. The Muriel Anderson All Star Guitar Night was one of the great concerts put on by Yamaha at the 2013 NAMM show. Thank you Yamaha and Easy Music Center for putting me in a room with so much talent! – Rob West
