Basswood body

Yes, the American DJ GOPAR64 light fixture is rechargeable!  It also comes with a remote for easy application.  The GOPAR64 has an expected life span of 50,000 hours.  That’s equivalent to about 5.8 years if you had the fixture on every day 24/7!  The reason why I love this fixture so much is the lithium battery.  It can last up to 8 hours on a full battery, and recharges in 6.5 hours.  Having the rechargeable battery helps users by having less cables on the ground, it also frees up more power from the breaker for your sound system.  Another cool thing is that you can daisy-chain other fixtures off of that battery powered fixture.  It lessens the power life on the battery, but it is still a big plus not having to plug it in the wall.  Check out this simple video I made.

Today I’m demoing one of my favorite overdrive pedals, the Ibanez TS808 TUBESCREAMER. For years it was unavailable because it was discontinued for some inane reason, and if you were lucky enough to find one on ebay you had shell out 500-600 dollars for it which was too rich for my blood. It’s one of the most copied circuit designs out there, from the boss sd-1, and many more . I always had to settle for a replica, but not anymore. Ibanez finally re-released the original design.  Check it!
